If you are going to an appointment, let us know when you will be leaving work & coming back. If you are taking PTO, you can simply say vacation, personal, etc.

If you are missing a full day, PTO will automatically be applied. If you are missing less than 8 hours, it is your choice to either take PTO or make up the hours missed so that you still work 40 hours during the week.
